Chloé and Candice Thierrin
SAUT
Chloé and Candice Thierrin, passionate about horse riding since they were little girls. Chloé, 19 years old, is studying in the field of social work, and Candice, 22 years old, is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Economy at the University of Fribourg. Although it’s not always easy to balance studies with the daily work of horses, the passion for horses has always been a part of the Thierrin family’s life.
In 2011, Candice began competing in show jumping in the pony categories. The following year, Chloé started her first show jumping season. The two riders have competed in the pony categories with many different mounts: Poupée II, Penny, Machno Holly, Machno Destiny, Genève, Ricky de la Tour, … But the “darling” of the family is undoubtedly Atomic du Courtil, who has enabled both riders to win numerous competitions. Particularly successful was Candice with him in 2015, when she won the Pony Trophy final and placed 2nd in the Romand Pony D Championship. This pony took Chloé to the Swiss Pony D Championship in 2017, which she won without much difficulty. It is thanks to this exceptional pony that the two riders obtained their show jumping license. Now, Atomic enjoys a pleasant retirement with the Marcuard family in Grandcour. With great emotion and many memories, the two riders leave behind this beautiful chapter of pony years.
Then, Candice began a new story with Melrite M, a 4-year-old mare, in 2021. They progress together and ended the 2023 show season with jumps of 110-115 cm. In 2023, Chloé starts a lovely story with Phoenix S, a 4-year-old mare. Having the horses in the stables right next to the house strengthens the relationship with their horses. They hope to experience many more beautiful moments in sport and passion under the colors of the HEIA shop with their two mares, Melrite M and Phoenix S.
