WINTER ITCHINGNo “summer” dermatitis during winter! If a winter thaw can make us think that insects are responsible for scratching, this is not the case. There are several reasons to be considered in each case: phthisis (lice), a dietary problem (deficiency, excess, imbalance), a gastric problem (pain, ulcer), a contact allergy (blanket…), a medicinal reaction, a change leading to stress… Derfen clear will help to calm the itching each time, it will act on the symptoms but it is essential to try to treat the cause.

LICELice infestations are very common in autumn, winter and even spring and cause intense scratching. The affected areas can be the head, the mane, the tail but also the limbs. Not always very visible to the naked eye because of the horse hair, lice often cause sudden itching, without apparent reason. In this case, contact your veterinarian for an adapted treatment. Derfen clear will soothe the itching but will not “slip” onto all areas of the body.
